Games

Well since i finished doing the whole work thing i really have been playing around on games and watching movies. It's nice to have some time which i can truly relax in at last. I know i should be doing something else but really i need to get my self comfortable and together which just wasn't posible while i was still doing work. So games, i've been playing through my incomplete pile.

I've managed to get 10 more levels unlocked in super monkey ball
Get more golds in rogue leader and play different levels.
Complete 100% timesplitters 2 ( and that was a great achievement)
Get all but 3 golds on donkey konga 2 ( in the random note setup which i think with a good warmup i can do)
To the tank boss on MGS but failing to kill it with stun grenades (damn them all)
slightly further in crystal chronicals without getting bored
1080 avalanche completed 100%
all but the buggy bits in Sonic heroes (and they are really buggily annoying and so almost imposible)
another level on F-zero GX (slow progress but it's so hard that i need to dedicate to it and there are so many other thingS)
Resi 0 on normal bonus game to try / do
Played through killer 7

Now the last one is quite special. Killer 7 is to my mind the first art house game i've played. The way of making a point using metaphors is something you find in only those arty movies. The style is absolutely amazing to look at when you're playing (doesn't fully come across in pictures). The gameplay is weird but oddly fun and exciting. The story itself is a mature and adult one, not like usual in games where "maturity" is defined by guns / blood / swearing. It's quite intelegently told. The real truth of the matter is that while it can be a bit old and crusty in some game mechanics, the puzzles obscure and obvious at the same time and set pieces where you have no control i absolutely love the game. It's truly special and i couldn't put it down for 2 days and ryan watched me play the whole thing because it's that amazing! I'm going to be starting on the ultra hard mode at some point. It looks vicious ~:D
